BILLING POLICY
Schedule fee billing to private patients.
Bulk billing is available to pensioners and Health Care cardholders.
Rebate or bulk billing is available to other patients at the request of the referring doctor.

COURIER SERVICE
Southern Cross Pathology provides regular courier delivery and collection services to referring practitioners in the region. For further information telephone 9594 4528.

REPORTING
The majority of routine tests are available within 4-6 hours of arrival in the laboratory with a hard copy report being delivered the next business day.
Results are available by:
  1. Phone
  2. Fax
  3. Printed hard copy
  4. Electronic Download

Urgent tests will be performed immediately and telephoned through as soon as results are available. Faxing of results can also be arranged.
Hard copy reports will be posted or delivered by our couriers.
Electronic reporting of pathology results is provided to medical practitioners with appropriate computer facilities. Please contact Pathology IT at 9594 4519 for further information regarding this service.

CONSULTATION
Consultants are available 24 hours a day in all pathology disciplines to provide advice in test interpretation and the investigation of your patients. A list of senior staff and telephone numbers to access our service is available
